The following statement has been filed with the Official Assignee (Mr. J. Coleman) by Vivian E. Currie, of Gisborne, bakrupt: “I have resided in this district since my childhood. When 1 was about 15 years of age—about eight years ago—l got employment in a butcher’s shop, and about three years after 1 started business as a butcher on my own account. 1 continued this business for tAvo years, and not being successful, ,1 retired for about 12 months. After this 1 started business again in partnership Avitli R. F. Medley, which continued for a month, when I retired, Mr. Hedley carrying on the business. Six months afterwards I rejoined him, and avo carried on the business until about three months ago, when Mr. Hedley retired. and I continued to carry on the business until about six weeks ago, when-1 sold the gcodAvill for £IOO. none of Avhieh I have received. 'Hie cause of my bankruptcy is being sued by my creditors.” „ The liabilities .in the estate amount to £194 3s 6d, and the assets to £lll, leaving a deficiency of £B3 Ss 6d. The assets are set out as follows: Balance of goodwill and money in Court (about) £3l, book debts (£lO4 16s 8d), estimated to produce £BO. The following is a list of unsecured creditors: W. J.
