FINE ATHLETIC PERFORMANCES. HURDLES AND HIGH JUMP. tPER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] INVERCARGILL, March 8. At the Southland amateur provincial championship meeting to-day G. P. Kcddell won the 120 yards championship hurdles from two- other local men, and was credited with Avinnimg by 12 yards in 15 seconds dead on a grass track Three watches agreed, fourth timepiece recorded 15 l-ssec. The track w r as> immediately re-measur-ed, and found a- shade over the distance. and the placing and the height of hurdles 3ft Gin in order. A dry growth on the clay provided a very fast track. The' performance was clean and faultless throughout. In the high jump, J. F. Reid, of Dunedin, won at oft 7fin.
