CAMORRISTS ON TRIAL.

The trial of 41 Camorrists, including Alfan, has commenced in the Church of Scalvi’ Vitirlis, which has been transformed into a' law court, and 600 witnesses have arrived -in ■charge of 100 detectives. One thousand carabineers patrol the town and the prisoners are locked in an iron cage, each accompanied by a carabineer in a smaller cage. In the case of Abbatwaggio, the informer, there are difficulties in the way _ of securing a jury, and many are tendering medical certificates of unfitness to serve.
