BOWLING.

GISBORNE CLUB. At the Gisborne Club’s green on Saturday afternoon there was a large attendance of members, and some enjoyable games resulted. The results of the principal matches were as follows: AVilson, Redstone, Fothergill and Bright (25) beat Huxtable, Elliott, AA T . Pettie and Ponsfovcl (17). Johnston and Brown (24) beat- Maher and Paltridge (23). Roberts and Cobb -(30) heat Crompton and Murray (14). TURANGANUI CLUB. There was a fairly large muster of members of the Turanganui Club on the- green on Saturday, and some enjoyable games resulted. —Handicap Pairs.— A match, the last in the hist round of the Handicap Pairs Competiton, was played, and resulted in Gorman and Colie-- (skip) 8 points beating Finn and Williams (skip) 8 points, by 21 points to 20. The match provided an interesting finish, not being decided until an extra head had been played. The draw for the- second round of the Handicap Pairs is as follows: Douglas and Sawyer (skip) v. AA 7ootton and Si in son- (skip). Gray and Nasmith (skip) v. McSkhoming and Bennett- (skip). Thelwall and Robertson (skip) v. Gorman. and 1 Colley (skip). —The Cope Feathers.— The following is the- draw for the Handicap Fours for the- silver feathers presented by Air. Cope:— Skillicorn, AlcConnell, Bennett and Sawyer (skip) (scr) v. AlcSkimming, Grev. Hird, land AViiliams (skip) (6pts). Sim, Barry. Bruce, and Barber (skip) (Spt-s) v. McPherson, Bridge-, Lewis, and Martin (skip) (scr). Howard, Leydon, Colley, and Robertson (skip) (Spts) v. AA r . E>. Robertson, Jeune, Thelwall, a nd Nasmith (skip) (3 points). Hav Finn, Neill, and Sirnson (skip) (scr) drew a bye. : —Pennant Fours. — A team consisting of Gray. Uridge, Barber, and Colley (skip) have challenged the- holders of the Pennant Fours—H-ooper, Thelwall, Hilrd, and Nasmith (skip). The game is to take place next Thursday.
