Federal officers raided Wisner and Company’s stockbroking offices, alleging that irregularities amounting to £BOO,OOO are involved. The Standard Securities Company, affiliated to the concern, is also involved. The owners were arrested on a charge of using the mails to defraud by selling worthless stocks. DISASTROUS ELECTRICAL STORM. An electrical storm at Philadelphia, accompanied by a cyclonic wind, wrecked many public and private buildings, unroofed churches, and broke telephone, lighting, and trolley wires. All traffic is at a. standstill. Only one death is recorded.
