The Hon. J. Carroll is indisposed and consequently the unveiling of the monument to the ‘ate Mr. Hone HeKe has been postponed from to-dav tiT Tuesdav next.
Mr. J. R. Kirk has been atmointed a member of the High School'Board of (xotemors as Government nominee m succession to Mr. C. A. de Lautour. air. ivirk leaves for South this evening on holiday, and expects to be absent 11 oin trisoorne for some weeks. Miss Conor O'Brien, who, as “ \kerini has cheered “Bulletin” readers with original witticisms and droll skits on society s pet fads and foibles, is to wed Mr William McLeod, the managing director of that journal, in a month or two, ere he leaves for Europe on abusiness trip. 1
