WELLINGTON. April 11

An assault and robbery was committed in Sydney Street Last) night, and this evening a. man was arrested on stispicion of being concerned in, tlie affair. From information available it appears that a Wellington man named Jas. Richardson arrived in town from. Feeding on Monday night with a considerable sum of money in bis possession, and while proceeding* along Sydney Street was assaulted and robbed of £44. About D o’clock to-night Detectives Cameron and Hammond arrested Norman Manson on suspicion, and at the Magistrate’s Court to-morrow he veil be charged with assaulting Richardson and robbing £44 from him.
