(UNITED PEESS ASSOCIATION—COPYEIGHTO (Received April 11. 8.55 p.m) SYDNEY, April 11. , The Royal Agricultural Show commenced to-day in line weather and with a big, attendance. The official opening will be to-morrow. In nearly every department the entries show large increases. Products are particularly fine, the result of an exceptionally good season. They include P’revost Brothers collection of 1020 distinct varieties of produce grown on a single farin' in the Mossvale district. The championships were awarded as follows :—• Blood stallions: Hosslrisson’s Sir Aymer, with Crick’s Collarit second and reserved champion. Collarit won a special prize. Mares: Seaton’s Bine Flyer. Trotters (stallion) : Playfair’s Ribbonwood. „ , , Coach horses (stallion): Charley s Brigadier. Roadster (liackncy stallion): Hordern’s Gartondus. New Zealand was well represented m the- Clydesdale sec-on. For mares four years and over, John Boug’s Gipsy Queen took second prize. For those three years and over, McCarrow’s Union Queen was second, and John Grant’s Kelso' Mag third. For fillies, Grants Flower was third. For ' active farm mares Boag’s Greta of Westbourne was second. , „ (Received April 11, 9.40 p.m.) SYDNEY, April 11. In Clydesdale stallions, heavy, 3yrs, John Boag’s Royal Conqueror was second and Royal Favourite third. NEW ZEALAND PRIZES FOR SHEEP.

In sheep John Nixon, Ivillincliv, Canterbury, swept the board for English Leicester taking firsts and champions for ram and ewe, 2yrs, first for ram under 2yrs, first and second for ewe under 2yrs. In Border Leicester, for ram 2yrs, J. B. Reid, Elderslie, Oamaru, gov. first, and Nixon second ; for ram under 2yrs, Reid took first and Nixon third; for ewe, 2yrs, Nixon took second; for ewe? under 2yrs. Reid took first and champion and Nixon second and reserve and Reid third. For a Romney Marsh ram Reid toox third; for a ewe under 2yrs, Reid took first.
