In the House of iComoiis, Dr Addison’s Bill for giving instruction in hygiene in,,, elementary schools and instructing girls in the care and feeding of infants has been read a first time. The mover stated 1 that, of 150,000 children who died annually under five years of age, the deaths of 50,000 were due to paternal ignorance.
