BIG GUNS.
BRITAIN STILL AHEAD
[UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION-COPYRIGHT.! (Received April 13," 12.25 a.m.) LONDON. April 12. The “Times” says that Britain has four ships afloat and two to be shortly launched, all of which will carry 134inch guns, and no other Power has any vessel so far advanced which mounts heavier than: 12-inclt guns. Possibly Krupp’s 14-inch gun is a fortress gun. If found expedient Britain already lias a 14-inch gun tested, which could be utilised aboard warships. AYhile it is equally possible that a further advance may ultimately be made to a 15-incli gun, there is no indication that a stop is likely, and it is at least equally probable that the pendulum may swing the other way.
