WELLINGTON, April 20. ■ The Government Meteorologist issued he following weather summary and forsast this evening:—The barometer -has alien evervwhere, and • specially in the ar north. Easterly winds, strong to gale, ave prevailed northward of Eawhia ana last Cape, and moderate to strong variable winds elsewhere. Rain has fallen jorthward of New Plymouth and Napier, nd cloudiness has increased elsewhere, present indications are for stormy weaher northward of Farewell Spit and Ivai:oura, with heavy rain and rivers floodd, especially on the East Coast. TJnlettled weather is expected elsewhere, vith easterly winds, strong to gale, probably northward of Farewell Spit and laikoura, and moderate. to strong else•vhere. The barometer is falling everyvhere.
