At the Harbor Board elections, Messrs Cor kill and Symes, old members, representing the boraugjh were reelected.- At the Waikaremoana riding Messrs Stacey and Hague secured a majority of votes, the retiring member being defeated by a, narrow margin of three. Probably the election will bo voided, due to the fact that the deputy returning officer was unable to reach the polling booth at .Ruakituri, owing to the .flooded river.
