ANGLO-AMERICAN TREATY.
HOW OTHERS SHOULD REGARD IT.
Speaking at a Mansion House banquet to consuls and other foreign representatives, the Lord Mayor of London. Sir Thomas Strong, assured his guests that the negotiations for AngloAmerican arbitration treaty did not imply unfriendliness towards other nations. These negotiations should really be regarded as a step in the great policy of securing universal peace. _ The Lord Mayor mentioned that at a meeting to be held in the Guildhall Mr Asquith would move, and. Mr Balfour second 1 , a resolution in favor of the present treaty negotiations.
