MIXED MARRIAGES.
THE RECENT CATHOLIC DECREE. PROTEST FROM ANGLICAN SYNOD [UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT.! SYDNEY, May 11. The Newcastle Anglican. Synod passed a motion inviting tlio Imperial Government to repudiate the recent Roman Catholic decree regarding mixed marriages, as the Bishop of Rome has no jurisdiction in England, or in the oversea dominions. It ateo passed a motion viewing the decree with disdain.
MELBOURNE, May 11. « The Congregational. Union also protested against the decree as a defiance of the civil law.
