RAILWAY SURVEY WORK.

MANCAPOIICE TO GISBORNE. JUST ABOUT COMPLETED. The railway survey from Mangapoike to Gisborne.is just about completed, and the trial lines to Makaraka. and Gisborne station are finished, with the exception of a little field work. The “mapping out” or the preparation of plans will be commenced shortly, and these will occupy a few weeks. It is probable then that the surveyors will commence work on the MangapoikeNapier section of the route.
