ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
SHOOTING FATALITY. (.PEE PRESS ASSOCIATION.J HAMILTON, May 22. The 10-year-old son of Moses Mickle was accidentally and fatally shot on Saturday while playing with a loaded shot gun during Ins parents’ absence. It is surmised that the boy took down a gun from above the mantelpiece for the purpose of practising scout drill, and that the concussion discharged the weapon, shattering the lower part of the boy’s head. A verdict of accidentally shot was returned 1 at the inquest. DEATH OF A POSTMASTER. ROTORUA, May 22. George' French, postmaster at Mokai, near Taupo, died suddenly from heart disease on Saturday evening. Deceased, who was married, was 58 years old. FATAL FALL. WELLINGTON, May 22. Theodore Davidson, a seaman on tne lonic, fell down a. companionway of that vessel on Saturday night. He was taken to the hospital, suffering from concussion of the spine and injury to the kidneys. .>■ ■ TRAM CONDUCTOR KILLED. CHRISTCHURCH, May 22.
Charles Cohen, aged, 20, a tram conductor, fell from the footboard of a curin motion on Saturday. He was taicvi to the hospital suffering from- concussion of the brain, and 1 Pied this morning.
