MODERN LUXURY.
, A MAGNIFICENT BATH. The magnificent bath at the new Royal Automobile Club in London proves that the modern man is no whit behind the old Roman of decadent days in his taste for luxury. Nowhere in London can be found its equal, and on the hot- summer months its cool precincts should be a popular resort. Eighty-five feet in length ami thirty feet in: width, it holds 95,000 gallons of water, and varies in depth from fourteen and' a half to four and a half feet. Approached from the north by the lower main stairway, on either side of which are the lift lobbies, tne bath affords a sight that it not sufficiently ordinary to let the eye wander. Around the edge of this large pool of ever-ripling water stand' massive mosaic columns, of which the bright coloring seems brighter still against the white Sicilian marble floor. At night, Pompeiian lamps still further beautify the scene and 1 produce a sight that many might come miles to see. Especially is the effect remarkable from the western coridor on the lower ground floor, which overlooks tile bath the fencing room and the squash recquet courts.
