TOLOGA BAY SHEEP DOG TRIALS.
INAUGURAL MEETING
The first meeting of the To-lciga Bay Sheen Dog Trial Club was held on. Friday and Saturday on Mr. H. Temple’s property. The weather was fine, and ■there was a good attendance. _ Mr. Geo. Hawkins, of Huanui, was judge, and Mr. B. Merritt, of Puatae station, acted as timekeeper. There were forty-nine entries for the long head, bring back and hold, and about f-ort-y dogs competed. The following are the results:— Long l -head, bring back, and hold. Arthur Andeirson’s Floss, 28 points, 1; J. Dunlop’s Don, 25 points, 2; R. McNeill’s Darlcie, 24 points, 3. ' Huntaway,—R. Wilson's Wave, 29 points, 1: E. Dover’s Sharp, 264 points, 2 ; P. Callaghan’s Moss, 25 points, 3. Consolation Huntaway. Artlrar Hicks’ Roe, 275 points, 1; T. Rougher s Tip, 27 points, 2. A most successful smoke 00110014: was held by the club in the Telega Bay Hotel in the evening.
