BOWLING.
GISBORNE CLUB. Quite a. number of players assembled on the green of the above club on Saturday afternoon, and- enjoyed an hour’s play. Practice- matches for the most part were indulged in, the only game of not being the final of the Colts’ Singles between Robertson and Hamilton. This game was a good one from beginning to end, and victory rested with Robertson, who scored consistently all through. The. scores were : Robertson 20, Hamilton 11. It is tlie intention of the club to play off the District. Shield matches on the King’s Birthday. The skips and ulayers will probably be selected to-dav, and the teams appear to-morrow. Members of the club are requested to mote that in future play will commence on Saturdays at 2 p.m. The semi-final of the- second Handicap Fours between Smith and MacMillan will be played on Thursday, and the final between tlie winner and Benzie s rink the following Thursday. The different sections of the Champion Singles finish on Thursday; and the final on a- date to be arranged by the Match Committee.
