MEETING OF THE UNION. VEILED THREAT FROM THE PRESIDENT. lper PRESS ASSOCIATION.! WAIHI, June 8. A special general meeting of the Miners’ and Workers’ Union, to consider tlie delegates’ Report in connection ’with the recent conference between the mining companies and the union, was held last .night. The president stated that the whole question would be dealt with by the executive of the Federation, and that by the companies-,not meeting the union in their demands, it might mean a, trouble that would affect the whole of the federated workers of New' Zealand A resolution was carried to the effect that the question be referred .to the executive.
