STRINGENCY IN TIN MARKET.

MAXIMUM REACHED

C.UNITED PEESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT.!]

LONDON, June 14.

“The Times” states that there is evidence that the, stringency in. the tin market has reached the maximum. The bears yesterday were allowed to cover their spot commitments at about £230. The committee of the Metal Exchange is .not in favor of a suggestion that it should be given power to declare a corner in the market. It also dislikes the proposed new form of contract, which suggests that other descriptions of tin than Straits and Australian should be authorised as .good delivery. Tin in forward supply is at £BB 15s.
