SUCCESSFUL DISPERSAL SALE
[PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.! FEXLDING, June 28. The dispersal sale of the late Mr. G. C. Wheeler’s Romney sheep and Hereford cattle commenced here to-day, when. 900 stud rams and ewes were offered. Buyers were present from all over New Zealand and from- Australia. Bidding was extremely brisk all day, and the-sale was one of the -most successful) of its kind ever known in the Dominion. The highest price paid was for the ram- Freeholder 13th, for which Mr. W. F. Jacob paid 100 guineas. Quite a number of rains went over 50 guineas. Ewes -brought -from 4 to 25 guineas, the latter price being paid each, for two to go to Australia, where a fair, proportion of the whole sheep will goThe Hereford*; will be sold to-morrow..
