The enrolment officers and their respective sub-districts are:—Haiti, including borough portion and suburbs outlying to Bay of Plenty boundary at Okitu, Mr H. M. Horne; Whataupoko, including borough portion and suburbs, Kirktown, Mangapapa and Taruheru, Messrs H. F. Hobbins and V. Porteous; town of Gisborne, from Ivaiti bridge to Lytton road, comprising that area bounded by Taruheru river and Gladstone road,' Mr A. G. Linwood ; town of Gisborne, from Haiti bridge to Lytton road, comprising that area bounded by Gladstone road and the sea at Victoria Township, Mr J. C. E. Turner ; borough of Wairoa, Mr T. Webster Snow; Waerenga-a-hika, Waimare, Ormond (up to Caesar’s), Matawhero, Makauri. Makar aka and Willows, Mr J,. iSheppard; Te _ Arai, Patutahi township, and surrounding district, Muriwai and flats, Mr Herbert Simeon.
Enrolment papers will be forwarded to the following post offices: —Tahunga, Waerenga-o-kuri, Hangaroa (Mrs Hollywood's), Tiniroto, Marumuru, Fmscrtown. Waingalce (DauUon’s store), Muriwai-Maraetaha. Tarewa, Wharerata, Morere, Nuhaka, Mohaka, Waikare, Tongoio, Pohui, and Tarawera. Mr Hill requests that any of the above officers unable to carry through the duties are to communicate with him at once.
The supervision of the enrolment canvass in the East Coast portion of the Bay of Plenty electorate is to be carried out by Mr G. J. A. Johnstone, Olerk of the Magistrate’s Court, Gisborne, and he has made the following appointments: Rakauroa, Matawai, Motu and Whakarau, Mr Julius Hansen; Pirha, Otoko and Whatatutu, Mr Sefton (senr.); Ormond, Kaiteratahi and Tb Karaka. Mr McAnney; Waimata, Pouawa. Tologa Bay and Pakarae, Mr 0. Hansen ; Te Puia and Tokomaru Bay, Mr A’. K. Gilmour; Waipiro, Jerusalem and Tuparoa, Constable Tomasson; Awanui, Kawakawa and Hicks’ Bay, Constable Wales.

WELLINGTON, July 1. Work in connection with the electoral census to be taken on July 9 will be commenced on Monday next, when enrolment forms will be distributed to householders. This is the first occasion on which an electoral census lias been held in the Dominion. It does away with the objectionable feature of canvassing for names for enrolment.
