SUMMARY AND FORECAST.

[PEE PEESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, July 7. The Meteorological Office to-night issued the following weather summary and forecast: Cyclonic conditions prevail, but witn increasing pressure everywhere, and especially in the southern districts. Fair weather has prevailed ;with winds changing to the westward in the southern districts and squally in Foveaux Sfroits Present indications are for increasing northerly and westerly winds, especially about Cook Strait, and in the south, where gales are probable. A change in the weather conditions is expected soon, increasing cloudiness preceding rain in most parts, but especially southward of Kawhia and Castlepoint. The barometer is falling everywhere, particularly in the South.
