PERTH SMUGGLING CASES, —.<*>• ORIGINAL CHARGES WITHDRAWN FRESH TRIAL PROCEEDING. [UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. (Received' July 8, 1.20 a.m.) PERTH, July 7. The Crown withdrew the original smuggling charges against the Captains of the Dutch schooners 1 “Fortuna” ami “Harriet,” as the honorary magistrate, who was on the bench, had no jurisdiction. A fresh indictment containing live charges was made out, including a charge of smuggling. The taking of evidence is proceeding.
