JAPAN'S ARMY.
TWO DIVISIONS TO BE ADDED.
INCREASE OF THE NAVY DEMANDED.
Tho Japanese army, according to an announcement, is to be increased by two more divisions.
The' Government will bring its proposal before the next session of the Diet, when the House will be asked to vote 'the necessary appropriation to cover the cost.
Count Okuma, a- former Premier of Japan declares that the public is in opposition to any further increase in the army. He himself is opposed to it, holding that it is unnecessary, and that the strengthening of the navy is more urgently needed.
