SILVER IN A WOOD.

Tit AGED AS PROCEEDS OE BURGLARY AT HOME OE OXFORDSHIRE CLERGYMAN.

Three silver cups, dug up in a wood close to the remains of Bix Church, near Henley, have been identified as the property of the Rev. J. Muim. of Checkende'n, Oxon., whose house was broken into by burglars some months ago. In addition to the cups, there wore a pewter tankard and a knife. In connection with the burglary, a man, who is in custody on another charge, admitted to the police, when confronted with the goods, that he took them. The alleged burglar was recently captured by Lord Carrington’s watchman iir Buckinghamshire. He seems to have been hiding in the woods.
