During a boxing tournament a youth named Wooding was knocked down in the sixth round of a contest with another vouth named Edge. He was removed to the hospital, where he died. Edge and six other principals have been arrested.
JOHNSON v. LANG.
DENIAL OF THE MATCH
(Received July 9, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, July 8. Jack Johnson, in an interview for the “Sportsman,” denied having signed articles to fight Lang. He stated that he did not want to go to Australia especially to fight Lang, whom he had previously easily defeated.
