A BOY SHOT DEAD. [PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.J DUNEDIN, July 20 A fatal accident occurred! this evening, when Alex Cunningham, thirteen years of age, was accidentally shot dead. The boy was playing in a neighbor’s 3 7 ard with two mates, a game of “American Cowboys.” Deceased had a Winchester rifle, wliich lie knew to be loaded, and he was about to enter the but, but before doing so he threw the rifle on the ground, and the concussion caused the charge to explode and the bullet entered deceased’s head just behind the right ear. He died within a few minutes
