RICH AMERICAN HELD BY JAPANESE WHILE BULLETS ARE FIRED AT HIM.

A shooting affair in which there were many sensational incidents occurred in New York. As a result, Mr W. E. D. Stokes, owner of the Hotel Ansonia, and one of the richest of the hotel owners in New York, is suffering from three bullet wounds in his legs. . It is alleged that the shooting was done by two women at their own house at which Mr Stokes was visiting. While the women shot at him, it is furthei alleged, three Japanese held Mr Stokes so that he could not defend himself. Mr Stokes Was recently married.
