LONDON WOOL SALES. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile are in receipt* of the following cablegram from their london House: Wool Sales.—l34,ooo bales sold; 46,000 bales, for Continent, 2,000 for America, 41,000 hed over. Sales closed with good competition at average current values. New Zealand greasy wools : Good merino 13jd. medium merino 11 |d, inferior merino 9g;d„ fine crossbred 12id, medium crossbred 10|d, coarse crossbred (40’s) 9Jd, coarse crossbred (36’s) 9d. The local Bank of New Zealand reports : —We have to-day received the following cable from our. London office: —“The sales have closed very firm, and prospects are good. Good demand for all coarse crossbreds. Total held over, 41,00 bales, of which 30,000' is New Zealand.”
