THE SEEDS SALE BILL.
CONSIDERED BY AGRICULTURAL CONFERENCE. ‘
[FEE, PEESS ASSOCIATION.J WELLINGTON, August 17. The Agricultural Conference to-day considered a report of a special committee on the Seeds Sale Bill. The committee reported in ravor of roe Bill, but considered the measure might be simplified by striking out clause 6 and substituting a clause to enable a buyer to take a sample, seal it in the presence of the seller, and forward it to the biologist for analysis The report Aims adopted A committee appointed .to deal with the' question of establishing a Itoyal Society .reported that it is essential for the better government of the A. and P. Association that some executive bodies should be constituted, and it recommended the conference to take stops to form a duly registered National Society to he governed by. a council elected by A. and P. Associations throughout the Dominion. The objects of tho association shall be to watch over .and protect, the rights .and privileges of the associated societies, to take action in relation to any subject or any legislation affecting their interests; to bring about uniformity of. rules; compile a satisfactory list of judges; negotiate show dates in a friendly manner ; develop the' resources and advance the material interests of ,the country; encourage the most advanced systems of agrticulture; and to foster every branch of mechanical and household arts calculated to increase the comforts of human life. The report was adopted.
