■ A sensational scandal in the family of Count Karl Esterhazy, a well-known Hungarian nobleman,; ..has just been brought to light. During the week the family’s splendid castle at Cookleez in Hungary was gutted by fire, the Count’s famous library; with the picture gallery and .its fine collection of arms, being wholly destroyed. The fire broke out in the early hours of the morning, but although some of the inmates had narrow, escapes all got out of the burning building unhurt. The castle formed part of some entailed prooerty. Count Esterhazy declares that his relatives hated him ’as the owner, of the entail, and that he has conclusive evidence that the destruction of the castle was the work of hired incendiaries.
