SEWERAGE WORK.
A SUPPLEMENTARY LOAN
The Borough Council last -evening made a special order authorising the raising of a supplementary loan of £6050, being 10 per cent, on the sewerage loan of £60,500, to complete the sewerage works. For the purpose of providing the interest and sinking fund, and other charges on the loan, it was decided- to make and levy a special rate of 1-12-d in the £ upon the unimproved value of all rateable property within the whole of the borough. The rate is to he an annual recurring one during the currency of such loan, and be payable halfyear]- on June 30th and December 31st in each year during the currency of the loan or until such time as the loan is paid off.
