WELLINGTON, Oct. 25. ’The following i-s the summary and forecast of tho weather :— Northerly and westerly Avinds. strong to gale, have been experienced generally, but a change to th© southward occurred on the east coast during last night, a\ ith a rat aid rise in the barometer. It has fallen slightly in the ♦north. Cloudy and unsettled Aveatlier has prevailed, and rain- in many parts. Rivers are in high . flood on the- Avest coast. °> tlie South Island. Present indications me for a falling barometer everywhere, with -high northerly and westerly winds and cloudy unsettled weather, with rain probable generally.
