ROWING.
POVERTY BAY CLUB
The weekly committee meeting of the Poverty Bay Rowing Club was held in the Clubhouse last night. There were present: Messrs J. Webb, S. Ledger, A. McConnell, G. Douglas, W. Hall. J. Corbett S. Doig, A. ICirk, F. Snowden and J. Stewart. It was decided to commence the races in the first trial fours oh Saturday next over the Taruheru course. The following alterations were made in different crews : —W. Martin takes P. Stubbs’ seat in J. McConnell’s crew, and C. Paul takes J. Martin’s place in J. Prickett’s crew.
J. Webb, 8. Doig and J. Stewart were elected a committee to select representative crews for the coming season. It was resolved to hold the next assembly dance in the Club’s hall this evening.
Messrs S. Ledger and S. Doig were elected a visiting committee for the ensuing week.
