ENTERTAINMENTS.

PATHE PICTURES. There was a large audience at His Majesty’s Theatre last evening, when the management of the Pathe Pictures submitted an excellent series of new pictures. From the applause with which it was punctuated, it is safe to say tliat the- picture of excavating operations at the Panama Canal was the most popular. The great variety of the machinery employed, is in itself an education., end the uses to which it is put are wonderf’ully numerous. The latest “Pathe Gazette,” which is also included in the programme, contains seme interesting views. The London dockers’ strike, the destruction.' of the Hotel Carlton by fire, a reception to Japanese naval officers by President -Fallieres, and many other "incidents are pictured clearly- “ The Still Alaim” was without doubt a stirring drama, and it is worthily supported hv “The Black Bordered Letter,” “The Little Spvewakl Maiden” and .ethers. A selection of beautiful scenic studies and amusing comic depictions complete the programme. The series will be repeated this evening. CORONAT lON BAZ AAR, Tlie unceasing gaiety that has come to be associated with the Coronation Festival and Bazaar was responsible for the attraction of another large gathering at the Garrison Hall last evening.
