Mr Eustace Lane, Independent Labor candidate, spoke here last night. He received a splendid hearing. He had journeyed here by pack track and the backblocks. He spoke for two hours. He made a good impression, particularly on the land question. He lias greatly improved liis 1 chance of election. -A

Sir J. Findlay addressed the electors of Parnell to-night, following closely upon the lines of the speech previously delivered by him in Auckland. The Minister received an excellent hearing, and received a vote of thanks and confidence.
