SUMMARY AND FORECAST
(Per Press Association.) ‘WELLINGTON, Nov. 6. A cyclonic disturbance has prevailed over the country with the lowest pressure about Cook Strait on Saturday evening. High and squally southerly and south-easterly winds were followed by heavy rain in parts, especially on the East Coast, but the intensity of the storm soon decreased, probably owing to the influence of a westerly a r.a of low-pressure shortly due in He south. The present indications ar° lor cloudy and unsettled weather gene tally, with rain in many parts of the country. Variable winds, moderate to strong, westerly predominating, and the barometer probably falling again everywhere after about sixteen hours.
