MURIWAI SPORTS
Athletics, axemen, wrestlers and owners of jumping horses and ponies would do well to keep in view the annual fixture of the Muriwai Athletic Sports Club, which is to be held at Muriwai on New Year’s Day. A glance at the programme which appears in another column in this issue will be sufficient to show the generous manner in which the aforesaid parties have been catered for. The total amount of cash prizes in round figures is .£SO, whilst six events are catered for with trophies. The Hon. Sir James Carroll has kindly consented to become patron of the club. The general public when making their arrangements for holidays should reserve New Year’s Day. and proceed to Muriwai Sports, where they .will have a real good day’s outing. Brakes will leave the Masonic corner at 9a.m. on the morning of the sports.
