EARTHQUAKES IN EUROPE.
CAUSE PANIC IN MANY TOWNS. HOUSE? BADLY SHAKEN. (United Press Association —Copyright.) VIENNA, Nov. 17.. An earthquake was experienced in Vienna, Milan and the Rhine Valley. The inhabitants at Stuttgart and Frankfort rushed into the streets. A number of houses were cracked. The telephone system was damaged. BERLIN. Nov. 17. Reports have been received of panics and damage by earthquake throughout central Europe. There were shocks in Belgium and France. The audience and actors at Mulhouse, Augsburg, Stuttgart and other towns fled from the theatres. Many faced the night in the open squares. The Hohenzollern castle at Hetehingen was badly damaged, also many churches. HUNDREDS CAMPING OUT. SOME VIOLENT SHOCKS. (Received November 19, 5.15 p.m.) PARIS, Nov.. 18. The earthquake was severe in eastern France, but the damage was not serious. BERLIN, Nov. 18. The earthquake at Constance threw to the street a colossal figure of Germania, surmounting the post office. The earthquake was particularly violent at Wurtemberg and Ebinger, and hundreds are camping around fires in the open country.
