At the Bangor Eree Church Council Dr Evans, Brynkinallt. Bangor, an cxIndian army surgeon, gave some account of his experience of foreign missions in India. Dr Evans said missionaries had complained to him that they could never get their imports published as they wrote them, and that the reports were “cooked’’ in England in order to please the English public, and so get money from the public. A MISTAKEN NOTION There is a prevailing opinion that it is dangerous to stop diarrhoea too suddenly. That may be the case when an astringent medicine is used, but there is not the least danger of stopping it too quickly when Chamberlain's Colic, Cholera and Diarrhoea Bemedy is taken, as it is not an astringent, and stops the diarrhoea by curing the disease that caused it. As a rule only two or three doses are required, but in very severe cases a whole bottle is sometimes needed. Sold by E. D. Smith, Chemist, Gisborne.
