POVERTY BAY ASSOCIATION
Tile* usual weekly meeting of the Management Committee of tlio Poverty Bay Cricket Association was held last evening, there being prseent: Messrs Gotland (in the chair), Harvey, Allen, Jeffreys, Cranney, Seymour, Walker, and McLisky (hem. sec)- . Correspondence was received from the Y.M.C.A. Club appointing Air. V. G. Law to 1 act as delegate. The United juniors are withdrawing from the junior competition, and the Afatawhcro C.C. have assured the Association of their intention to take up the United Club’s position at the present time in the competition. After a greatdeal of discussion, it was resolved to allow the Afatawhcro C-C. to take up the United juniors’ fixture and continue, allowing them' the 3-point win which the United scored. The following fixtures were arranged for this week:— _ . Thursday.—Seniors: V .ALL. A. v. United A (continued); Alhambra v. United B (continued). Saturday.—Schools Competition (second round): To Hapnra play Alangapapa : Haiti play Gisborne.^ Saturday.—Seniors: Wanderers v. Taruhcru ; United v. Y AI.C. A. Saturday—.
