THE WOOL MARKET. 4
(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Dec. 1
In the course of Ills address at the meeting of Bank of New Zealand shareholders to-day, the chairman said: “The wool market,' which for the past few months lias been somewhat dopressed is showing signs of revival, prices so far realised at the current London sales being a distinct- advance on the closing quotations of the previous series. With a more settled state of European affairs there would seem reasonable ground for anticipating generally improved trade conditions, and as a consequence possibly a further advance in wool prices. In that case the exports from the Dominion for tlie year ending 30th September next would probably equal, if not exceed, the average of the last three years. Coupled with the easier position in the Australian Commonwealth that will most likely follow on the recent satisfactory rainfall that has taken place there, such improvement would no doubt go far towards relieving the apprehended monetary stringency in Australasia next year.
