RESCUED FROM DEATH.

F I>ER PRESS ASSOCIATION •(] AUCKLAND, Dec. 8. \ fare in Eden street, Mount Eden, last night destroyed a six-roomedl house occupied by Mrs It. Riley. Two neighbors observed the. outbreak, and found Mrs Riley lying on the verandah of the Inuring building in her night attire, in a semi-unconscious state. She imurmuted that there were three children in the building, and then collapsed. One child, a soil of Mrs Martin (who is Mrs Riley’s sister), was rescued from the back room. Ho was severely burned and was taken to the hospital. 'The other little boy was found suffering from burns, but leas severely. Tiro third child, a little girl, escaped without injury. Mrs Riley is suffering severely from shock. The origin of the fire is unknown.
