AS TO FEVER DANCERS. INSPECTION BY DR. CHESSON. AYhile in Gisborne Dr. Chesson, the Chief Health Inspector, visited Muriwai in order to ascertain the extent of fever among the Alaoris. There were then two cases of typhoid, and Nurse Bagiev was put in charge of the cases aud a tent was erected so that the patients might be isolated. Since then two other cases have been sent to the hospital, and the other two patients at Muriivai having made good progress towards recovery. Nurse Bagley has gone on to AVaitui. It is hoped to educate the Maoris in this and other districts so that they will take proper precautions to see that their pahs are kept in a sanitary state.
