CHAMPIONS AT PRACTICE. [per press CHRISCHURCH, December 21. The weather is still unseasonable.. Heavy rain fell again last night, and, though it cleared to-day; the 1 grass courts’ are very heavy, seriously interfering with tennis practice. Dunlop appears to be in good form, and Brookes pleases the onlooker 1 . Beals, Wright, and McLoughlin are practising assiduously and impressed the spectators on their occasional visits to the public courts. Larned has kept fairly closely to a private court.
