PERSONAL NOTES.
Mr and Mrs C. A. deLautoar left for Wellington by the s.s. Mokoia h.st evening. . , The many friends of Mr Harry Ituldick, of Matawai, will greatly regret to hear of the death of his wife, wh'ch occurred very suddenly at , a private hospital in Gisborne on Saturday morning. Mrs Riddick had been ailing for a short period, and it was thought that she was well ,on the way to recovery, and her demise came with startling suddenness. The late Mrs Riddick, who was only. 30 years of age, was a native of Wellington, and was the first woman to accompany her husband into the Matawai ■ district. The deceased -lady was deservedly beloved by all the residents of the district in which she had so long resided on account of her kindness of heart and many acts of hospitality. The interment will take place privately at Wellington. The Rev. W. H. Roberts, curate of Holy Trinity Church, Gisborne, has been appointed vicar of St. Martin’s, North-East Valley, Dunedin, and will V “take up his new duties next month.
