UNSETTLED
[PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.'! WELLINGTON, Jan. 10. Chang sable weather has prevailed, scattered showers falling in the night, but conditions improving to-day. South-easterly and easterly winds have predominated, strong to gale in the North Island last night. The-.barom-eter has fallen in the southern districts. Forecast on present indications is for moderate to strong south-easterly winds in the north, and variable easterly and northerly winds in the South Island. The weather is likely to be changeable generally and unsettled at times in the northern and southern districts, air*, on the West •Coast of the South island. A falling barometer is probable southwards of Farewell Spit. and Cartlcnoint. but unsteady at present elsewhere.
