\ six-roomed house on the main road, ’ North .East Valley, , has been burned down. The house was the property of Air J. LongWhrtb, and was occupied by Mr J. Sinclair, who lost all his' effects, including a library. The house- Was insured in the Alliance office for £2OO, and the furniture and effects for £IOO in the Standard office, and £65 in the United office. The fine originated in tho kitchen.
